Jerome Herbert

My approach.

I'm Jerome Herbert. For more than two decades I've done work that feeds two things at once: a drive to win, and a drive to help other people win too. When you win, I win with you.

My story

From Roswell to right here.

I was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, and grew up in Roswell, New Mexico. I was a competitor from the start. By high school I'd thrown myself into cycling, triathlons, cross-country, swimming, and varsity golf. If it had a finish line, I wanted to cross it first.

My sales career started in 2000, selling cell phones. Cars from 2003 to 2006. In 2005 I moved to Albuquerque and found Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at Jackson Wink Mixed Martial Arts Academy. The mat taught me what no classroom did: how to stay calm under pressure, get back up, and keep showing up. I'd need all of it.

By 2012 I was at the lowest point of my life. Going through a breakup. Nights on a friend's couch or in my car. That's the year I met a mentor named Alec. I believe God put him in my path at exactly the right moment.

In January 2014, I went all in. He mentored me from the start and believed in me before I believed in myself. I'd finally found work that matched what I was good at and what I cared about most: helping people fix what wasn't working and build something that was actually theirs. I haven't looked back since.

What I believe

My values and beliefs.

  1. I compete.

I always have. Every finish line I've ever seen, I wanted to cross it first. That part hasn't changed.

What changed is what I'm competing for. Now I win when the person next to me does. That's not a tagline. It's the reason I show up.

  2. I build people, not audiences.

A few at a time, the right way, until they don't need me anymore. That's what I call a Collective. Not a program you buy. A group of people who decided to move together, and actually did.

Whatever road brought you here, I don't think it was an accident.
